Max Hilaire lives in New York City and specializes in Interiors and Architectural Photography. His work, however, spans a varitey of subjects that include: landscapes, cityscapes, still lives, portraits, nudes and abstractions.

He photographs what he responds to and believes that "categorizing sets boundaries. Versatility opens the heart and mind to endless expressive possibilities . . ." His photographs suggest a search for harmony in a world of chaos. He feels inspired in the momentary culminations of the inner and outer worlds where fusion occurs to and fro in variable proportions.

His work has appeared in many magazines from Interior Design, Town and Country, Time, Home and Hemisphere. He studied French Literature at Queens College, Photography at SVA, ICP and FIT (where he currently teaches). Max has exhibited at Cafe Bondi, The Galleries at FIT and The GE Headquarters.
