Ronan Haughton, Norman Wilcox and Amanda Johansson met in London in 2001 whilst studying photography at the London College of Printing. The idea for American Postcards came about with the help of photographer and lecturer Matthew Hawkins in Summer 2004 and was started in New York by Ronan, Norman and Amanda in September 2004. The three met Art Kaligos in New York at Parsons School of Design who became involved in the work in January 2005, Art is now head of the art department for Walter Schupfer Management Corporation in New York. Ronan, Amanda and Norman are currently based in the UK at the University of the Arts, London.
